Pangandaran - Green Canyon

The next day we just hang out around Bandung town to do some shopping. We went to Pasar Baru which is within walking distance from our hotel at Moritz Hotel. Pasar Baru is famous for selling textiles in Bandung town.

Aladin's shop.

Superman and Spiderman welcome you to the shop.

Wolverine.

Spidey again.

We went to Paris Van Java shopping complex to meet some of Donny's friends. And later we drop by at Ciwalk Shopping Complex at Cihampelas. Along the street of Cihampelas, we saw lots of unique action super heroes as a way to attract more customers to come inside their shop.

The next morning, we were informed by Agus that we are so lucky that we managed to hike the Papandayan mountain because the status of the volcano has become "waspada" from "active-normal" and therefore no climbing was allowed within 1km radius from the mountain.

At first we wanted to go to Pangandaran beach but the tour package was a bit expensive and therefore we decided to look for alternative source of transportation which is more cheaper. They charges us Rp300,000 just for transportation to Pangandaran beach but when we ask around, we managed to get bus to Pangandaran for around Rp50,000.

The trisaw we took to get to Pangandaran beach.

The place was so refreshing and so green.

Our trisaw again. Taken that photo from my trisaw.

The next morning, we went to Cicaheum Bus Terminal and search for the bus to Pangandaran Beach. After 6 hours of journey, we reach Pangandaran beach. We took trisaw from the Pangandaran beach and slowly we look for a place which is affordable.

The beach of Pangandaran. There are many boats at the beach and lots of people playing football late in the evening.

The flag of Indonesia from one of the boat.

The villa where we stayed.

The unique design of the house. Very western feel.

We get ourself at Villa Angela for Rp80,000 and it is the most beautiful stay we had so far. The room was big and clean. It has living room, bar and also two rooms. We are supposed to sleep in one room and because nobody else was there, we are able to use that room. The Pangandaran beach is just a walking distance from our villa. The white sandy beach of Pangandaran beach look similar like Kuta Beach and it is much better than Parangtritis beach.

Photos from the Green Canyon...

At night, I had full body massage in my room for Rp50,000. It was fantastic after few days of traveling. The next subsequence morning, we wake up at 9 am and waiting for our tour guide to fetch us to Green Canyon for Rp100,000. We travel by motor and when we reach there, the greenery view of water really amazed us. We took a boat slowly cruising inside the cave.

More and more photos of Green Canyon...

After that, we went to Pantai Batu Rasah for a while and see people playing surfing at the beach. And then we have ikan bakar for our lunch with reasonable price along the way. Around 3pm, we are back to our hotel and went to Pasar Wisata which is the famous market in Pangandaran. A lots of shop selling t-shirts and sea shell as well. At night, the market will become alive with live music cafe and also known as red-light district area for that place.

The view of Pantai Batu Rasah

Taken this golden paddy field when having our lunch.

Waiting to be harvest by the farmer.

Just imagine the sunset with the golden color of the paddy field. Awesome!!!

Another beach that we went. Forgotten the name already.

By 5pm, we are back to our hotel and take a bath before we depart to Jakarta at Terminal Rambutan which took us about 8 hours of journey. I dun really like the transportation in Indonesia because many of the buses do not have air-cond and also the people will also smoke inside the bus as well which caused discomfort for others. However, it is a new experience for a backpacker like me.

Hi,

I took 9am bus from cicaheum station. I m not sure if there is any bus for night time. It is a nice place not to be missed. But the journey to that place is kinda tiring 6 hours of journey.
